About the role

You will work with cross-functional teams including Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to enable reliable, scalable, and maintainable test solutions.

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot test system control software for optical component test processes.
Analyze test data, investigate trends and failures, and document results in support of quality and production readiness.
Drive continuous improvement in test software architecture, maintainability, reuse, and operator effectiveness.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field.
At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting automated test systems in a manufacturing, NPI, or design-verification environment.
Strong experience with Python for test software development, including instrument control, data acquisition, calibration, and test automation.
Familiarity with lab instruments used in optical/electrical test environments, such as optical power meters, attenuators, switches, laser sources, etc.

Experience designing test software for coherent optical/transceiver products or similar photonics hardware.
Any experience with NI LabVIEW/TestStand for test software development, including instrument control, data acquisition, calibration, and test automation.
Experience supporting production test stations, sustaining engineering, or global manufacturing.
Knowledge of calibration methods, gage R&R, and yield improvement analysis.

The starting salary range posted for this position is $135,800.00 to $193,400.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benef

Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.
10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
