About the role

- You will work with cross-functional teams including Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to enable reliable, scalable, and maintainable test solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot test system control software for optical component test processes.
- Analyze test data, investigate trends and failures, and document results in support of quality and production readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement in test software architecture, maintainability, reuse, and operator effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting automated test systems in a manufacturing, NPI, or design-verification environment.
- Strong experience with Python for test software development, including instrument control, data acquisition, calibration, and test automation.
- Familiarity with lab instruments used in optical/electrical test environments, such as optical power meters, attenuators, switches, laser sources, etc.
Nice to have
- Experience designing test software for coherent optical/transceiver products or similar photonics hardware.
- Any experience with NI LabVIEW/TestStand for test software development, including instrument control, data acquisition, calibration, and test automation.
- Experience supporting production test stations, sustaining engineering, or global manufacturing.
- Knowledge of calibration methods, gage R&R, and yield improvement analysis.

Compensation
- The starting salary range posted for this position is $135,800.00 to $193,400.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benef

- Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.
