About the role

This is a high-ownership and visibility role for someone who thinks in systems, moves with precision, and is on the career path to running a marketing department.
Translate marketing performance into executive-ready narratives for finance, sales, and leadership stakeholders
Proven track record managing multi-discipline marketing teams (campaign, lifecycle, web, and/or growth)

Responsibilities

Teams catch, flag, and fix real issues before they ship, powered by security that learns as they build.
Semgrep gets smarter as you build, with AI that learns your context to cut false positives and prioritize reachable vulnerabilities, validated by 95% of security reviewers across 6M+ findings.
Partner closely with Brand, Security Advocacy/Content, Marketing Ops, Data Analytics, and Sales leadership to ensure programs are tightly integrated and well-resourced
Serve as the campaign foundation for Partner Marketing and Field - building the core plays and assets that get amplified through partners and adopted across target accounts and regional motions
Build the operating rhythm for campaign planning, execution, and retrospectives - including sprint-based GTM activation
Support career growth for both traditional campaign marketers and more technical team members (web dev, growth engineering)

Nice to have

Deep fluency in funnel metrics, MQLs, pipeline contribution, CAC, CPL by channel, conversion rates, and the ability to connect them to business outcomes
Experience marketing to technical audiences.
You understand how developers, AppSec engineers, and security practitioners evaluate products and you know how to earn their trust
An AI optimist who actively looks for ways to use AI to eliminate friction, from project management and campaign workflows to reporting and content production
Experience working in or alongside PLG or product-led growth motions is a plus
Ambition to grow into a VP Marketing or Marketing Leadership role

Compensation

The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $151,00 to $189,000 USD.
The actual base salary will be determined based on a number of factors, which may include job-related skills, relevant experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market data.
In addition to base salary, total compensation may include equity, variable compensation, and benefits.
We view equity as a meaningful part of our compensation philosophy and a way for employees to share in the long-term value they help create.
Compensation ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted as the role, individual performance, or market conditions evolve.
To that end, we generate internal compensation bands that are used when discussing and negotiating salaries.
