About the role
- Reporting directly to the Director of Care, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is a regulated member of the interprofessional health care team who provides ongoing client care.
- The HCA observes, monitors and reports on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status.
- The HCA ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required.
- Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients.
- Active and current registration with CLHA required.
- Employees are required to use technologies, devices, resources, and systems provided by the employer, as per Carewest policy and procedure.
- Adherence to relevant privacy legislation and best practice including HIA, ATIA, POPA, and InfoCare Behaviours, is required.
