About the role
- The Facility Maintenance Technician's responsibility is to ensure the safe, functional, and well-maintained operation of all school facilities.
- Diagnoses and repairs malfunctions in various school facilities, including classrooms, administrative offices, gymnasiums, and outdoor areas;
- Responds promptly to emergency maintenance situations, such as power outages, equipment failures, or other critical incidents, to minimize disruption to daily school activities;
Responsibilities
- Develops and implement preventive maintenance programs for school facilities to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize unexpected issues;
- Conducts regular inspections of school facilities to identify and address maintenance needs related to HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building structures;
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.
- Reports and documents any major issues or necessary upgrades;
- Opens school building daily;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
