About the role

  • Avathon is looking for an experienced and innovative AI Engineer to join our team to help create the next generation of artificial intelligence solutions that will help our customers make well-informed decisions and support critical missions.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery and maintenance of production level software through containers and orchestration tooling
  • The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Experience with multiple data storage technologies, including relational, document, and graph databases
  • Experience in AI Agent orchestration, tooling, and ecosystems
  • Experience supporting or delivering software in a production environment
  • Experience with Git best practices (we use GitLab)
  • Experience creating and maintaining quality unit tests
  • Experience with agile methodology and workflow

Nice to have

  • 3+ years' experience supporting AL/ML software solutions
  • 5+ years' experience creating and supporting production level software
  • Experience supporting multiple projects or technical solutions at the same time
  • Comfortable operating in a self-hosted cloud environment (we use Azure)
