About the role
- This position proactively plans for natural, technological, and man-made disasters, while ensuring daily operational security, risk mitigation, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Emergency Planning & Mitigation: Draft, update, and maintain comprehensive Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and evacuation procedures.
- Communication & Technology: Manage notification systems and emergency communication networks to ensure rapid, accurate information dissemination during a crisis.
- After-Action Reporting: Lead post-incident evaluations to analyze response effectiveness and recommend improvements to procedures.
- Draft, update, and maintain comprehensive Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and evacuation procedures.
- Manage notification systems and emergency communication networks to ensure rapid, accurate information dissemination during a crisis.
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with emergency management and security software.
- Ensure that 100% of employees complete required safety training and that the organization meets or exceeds all mandated security standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of direct experience in emergency management, security, law enforcement, or fire services.
- Achieve High Compliance Rates: Ensure that 100% of employees complete required safety training and that the organization meets or exceeds all mandated security standards.
Nice to have
- Incident Command System (ICS) Certification (100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800) strongly preferred.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of the four phases of emergency management (Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, Recovery).
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under intense pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and delivering training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with emergency management and security software.
