About the role

This position proactively plans for natural, technological, and man-made disasters, while ensuring daily operational security, risk mitigation, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Emergency Planning & Mitigation: Draft, update, and maintain comprehensive Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and evacuation procedures.
Communication & Technology: Manage notification systems and emergency communication networks to ensure rapid, accurate information dissemination during a crisis.
After-Action Reporting: Lead post-incident evaluations to analyze response effectiveness and recommend improvements to procedures.
Draft, update, and maintain comprehensive Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and evacuation procedures.
Manage notification systems and emergency communication networks to ensure rapid, accurate information dissemination during a crisis.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with emergency management and security software.
Ensure that 100% of employees complete required safety training and that the organization meets or exceeds all mandated security standards.
Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 2-5 years of direct experience in emergency management, security, law enforcement, or fire services.
Achieve High Compliance Rates: Ensure that 100% of employees complete required safety training and that the organization meets or exceeds all mandated security standards.

Incident Command System (ICS) Certification (100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800) strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of the four phases of emergency management (Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, Recovery).
Ability to remain calm and decisive under intense pressure and in high-stress situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and delivering training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with emergency management and security software.
