About the role

Reporting directly to the Director of Care, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is a regulated member of the interprofessional health care team who provides ongoing client care.
The HCA observes, monitors and reports on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status.
The HCA ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Complex Care - for frail seniors who require the care of an interdisciplinary team to maintain and improve quality of life in safe, comfortable and supportive environments.

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required.
Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients.
Active and current registration with CLHA required.
Responsible for other related duties as required.
Employees are required to use technologies, devices, resources, and systems provided by the employer, as per Carewest policy and procedure.
Adherence to relevant privacy legislation and best practice including HIA, ATIA, POPA, and InfoCare Behaviours, is required.
