About the role

  • We are looking for an electrical harness engineer who can play a key role in the development of our battery's low voltage architecture.
  • You will be part of a rapidly growing team responsible for harness schematics, component selection, PCBA and sensor interfaces, as well as working with vendors and in-house test teams for validation testing.
  • The staff harness engineer shall have had exposure to a broad range of technical challenges and methods in the context of product development, including sealed component selection, EMI mitigation, DFM/DFA considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 2D electrical single and multi-line schematics, draft harness assembly drawings for wire harness assemblies
  • Define ICDs (interface control document) between PCBA controllers and devices (sensors, actuators, and other controllers).
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers on wire harness CAD routing in consideration of Poka Yoke and DFA.
  • Hands on support of system level bring-up and validation, as well as 5D/8D experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building electro-mechanical systems and harnesses

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering OR Mechatronics Engineering
