Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble fixtures and tooling to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
  • Utilize material handling equipment to build and move fixtures safely.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to adjust, repair, and modify tooling.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.

  • Under general supervision, the Tool Builder is responsible for building, modifying, and maintaining tooling and fixtures that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
  • This role interprets engineering drawings and collaborates with manufacturing teams to deliver tooling solutions that meet production and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, steel fabrication, sheet and plate metals, and welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including weld symbols and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and precision measurement equipment.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Certifications: Forklift and crane certification is required.
  • Design fixtures using CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) as required.
  • Support production start-ups and troubleshooting activities Complete and maintain required documentation.
  • Travel as required.
