About the role

  • Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a plan of care for a specific patient assignment.
  • Sets priorities when organizing care for patients with varying acuity.

Responsibilities

  • As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care.
  • Maintain continuity through clear and concise (verbal and written) communication.
  • Demonstrates awareness of the need to manage within established budgetary boundaries.
  • Functionally responsible for the supervision of other RNs, technical and support personnel.

Requirements

  • For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.

Nice to have

  • Current Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required within the last 6 months involving any aspect of the IR procedural patient's care (pre/intra/post).
  • Port experience preferred
  • Procedural sedation experience required
  • ACLS required or obtained within the first 3 months of hire
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract

Skills

  • The RN must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
  • Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • Must be able to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work entails walking and lifting.
  • The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs.

Compensation

  • $41.71 - $105.65/Hourly
