About the role

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - The Physician Assistant provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a hospital-based Acute Surgical Services setting.
When Sturdy Memorial Hospital opened its doors in 1913 as a 15-bed hospital in the former mansion of James and Ada Sturdy, no one could have imagined the impact it would continue making more than a century later.
Today, Sturdy Memorial offers 142-beds and a wide range of inpatient services, including an all-suite labor and delivery unit.

Perform comprehensive surgical floor-level care, including patient assessment, postoperative management, wound care, and coordination of multidisciplinary care plans.
Function as a first or second surgical assistant in the operating room as needed to meet staffing demands or support complex cases.
Collaborate with attending surgeons and care team members to facilitate timely and safe patient throughput across the surgical service.

Surgical First Assist & ability to cross train with Multi specialties
Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Proficiency in procedural skills (preferred)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred: 1-3+ years of experience in surgery, acute care, or hospital medicine

$109,280.04-$171,079.79 -
The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
For annual salaries this is based on full-time employment.
