About the role

- Run structured, high-quality recruiting processes, from screening through offer, while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Help grow out our recruiting team as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- As the founding Technical Recruiter, you will help build the Engineering, Product, and Design teams behind Garage's next stage of growth.
- You will own searches end to end, build targeted pipelines from scratch, run a fast and thoughtful process, and help Garage raise the bar with every hire.
- Own full-cycle hiring across engineering, product, design, and data science, partnering with founders to attract and close exceptional technical talent.
- Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies using outbound, referrals, communities, and technical communities to fill high-priority roles quickly.
- Full-cycle experience in hiring technical talent for software engineering, design, product development, and data science.
- Passion for building high-performance teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Requirements
- A strong network with existing knowledge of the NYC startup talent market.
- Ability to close talent with a strong eye for culture fit.
- Experience using Ashby, Juicebox, Metaview, Gem, Clay, ChatGPT, Claude, or other modern recruiting and AI tools.
