About the role
- Working from given instructions, will load programs into the controller, review the program and do intermediate setup of machine tools through first piece inspection approval.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accountable for manufacturing complex parts and machine maintenance.
- Able to control product quality during production runs using calipers, dial bore gages, micrometers, etc.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

- The employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
- Must be a good team player.
- Must be able to develop and machine basic fixtures with or without prints.
- Must be able to change tools and offsets.
- May be required to edit programs at machine.
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a machine shop environment.
- Knowledgeable on set-ups, lathes and mills.
- Understand GD&T and shop math.
- Ability to read and understand cad-cam software.
- Familiar with G and M codes.
- Good communication skills.
