Requirements
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil/Structural, or related Engineering discipline.
- Must be returning to studies after the work term.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated teamwork, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience with AutoCAD or project scheduling software is an asset.
- A valid driver's license is preferred due to site travel requirements.

- ## The Opportunity
- We are currently seeking an Engineering Co-op Student (Mechanical or Structural) to join our Project & Engineering team in Thompson, MB for a 12 month co-op placement starting in fall of 2026.
- This role will support engineering and project teams across all stages of project development - from initiation and planning to execution and closeout.
- It's an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in industrial project management and field coordination within a fast-paced mining environment.
- Additionally, as an Engineering Co-op Student, you will;
- Consistently follow Vale's safety policies, programs, and legislative standards, with a focus on safety and risk management.
- Support Project Leads in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist in coordinating procurement, finance, engineering, and site operations for successful project execution.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, cost summaries, Gantt charts, and presentations.
- Contribute to field coordination, contractor oversight, and progress tracking on construction sites.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely project milestones.
