About the role
- Operates Digital Radiography (DR) equipment
- Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time
- Positions and instructs patients according to the proper treatment procedures
Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a licensed provider
- Performs EKG examinations
- Maintains venipuncture and lab collections
- Performs other duties as assigned
Nice to have
- Certification or documented competency in EKG performance, venipuncture, and immunization administration
Skills
- Knowledge of radiographic principles, anatomy, positioning, exposure techniques, and radiation protection standards
- Knowledge of digital radiography (DR) systems and image quality standards
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical office operations
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively and compassionately with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary staff
- Maintains vaccine compliance in the electronic database
