About the role

Responsibilities
- Manage calendars, correspondence, and special requests for Executive Director and Senior Director.
- Manage receipt reconciliation for LU Serve staff and Serve Now trips.
- As directed, support other LU Serve events, programs, and initiatives (e.g., Local Church Emphasis Day, CSER Expo, Meal-Packing, Serve Lynchburg, etc.).
- Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Director(s).
Requirements
- Four-year college degree or the equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in basic accounting, data management, administrative oversight, and/or customer service.
- 2+ years of experience working for a non-profit organization
- 2+ years of experience working in customer service
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
- Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
Compensation
- Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
- Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions.
- Record notes for LU Serve team meetings and any other meetings as directed by the Executive Director or Senior Director. Collect data from meeting minutes for annual executive summary.
