About the role
- The position will focus on providing services to social science students and faculty, and particularly the Teacher Education and Psychology departments.
- The position will serve as our field trip liaison for visiting K-12 students and other groups.
- Pushing and pulling book carts, reaching overhead, and bending to the floor are common activities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and curates collections
- Serves as a liaison to academic disciplines and/or other campus units providing information on collections, instructional and research support, and library services
- Designs, develops, and delivers instruction in a variety of formats to faculty, staff, students, and other patrons
- Cultivates and maintains productive relationships with vendors and professional colleagues
- Coordinates and leads library tours, library instruction, and other activities for K-12 and other visitors. Works with Admissions and other campus offices bringing visitors to campus.

Requirements
- MLIS or MIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited graduate program by position start date.
- Experience providing service to patrons in a library.
- Ability to work effectively in small groups or teams.

Nice to have
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations, preparing online instruction, and providing research help services.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in academic or library AI applications.
- Experience working in an academic library.
- Experience working with children and adolescents.
- Experience working with a diverse population.

Compensation
- $50,000-$52,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
