Responsibilities

System Optimization & Support: Serve as the internal contact for tax software configurations
Audit Defense: Support the team through indirect tax audits by efficiently managing IDRs and partnering with leadership to advocate for and defend established tax positions.
General Ledger Reconciliation: Prepare and review monthly tax accruals and perform balance sheet reconciliations for indirect tax accounts within NetSuite.
Cross-Functional Advisory: Partner with Engineering, Product, Billing and Legal teams to evaluate the taxability of new product rollouts, software features, and bundle offerings.
System Optimization & Support: Serve as the internal contact for tax software configurations; proactively maintaining and refining indirect tax calculation and reporting systems to provide seamless, automated workflows for the organization.

Partner with Engineering, Product, Billing, Finance, and Legal seamlessly integrate tax compliance into our product and financial workflows.

Requirements

Advanced Excel skills (pivots, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation) and the ability to handle massive, high-volume transactional datasets.
Ability to pivot quickly when priorities change and navigate fast organizational growth as an exciting challenge rather than a roadblock.

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation or Master of Taxation degree is a major plus.
Tech Stack Mastery: Experience managing tax calculations and reporting within tax software systems and NetSuite ERP.

Skills

Knowledge of Stripe Tax is a plus.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $91000 - $114000 annually.
Compliance & Filing: Oversee the end-to-end preparation, review, and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual domestic sales & use tax and international VAT/GST returns, business licenses and property tax filings.
