About the role

  • This role reports directly to the VP, People and Operations and is expected to be in our Boston office near Downtown Crossing 4-5 days per week.
  • You'll be helping to keep the engine running behind the scenes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Create momentum every day
  • From creating seamless employee experiences to improving the systems and processes that support our growth, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the business can scale while preserving the culture that makes Skedda a great place to work.
  • Own all employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, and terminations.
  • Partner with talent acquisition on compensation benchmarking for open roles, top of funnel resume review, offer deck creation, and data analysis to continuously improve our hiring process
  • Own company engagement initiatives, including quarterly employee engagement (eNPS) surveys, analysis, and action planning.
  • Own our performance management process, including our mid-year and EOY performance reviews.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity and compliance across HR systems.

  • You take initiative and work with a healthy sense of urgency
  • 5+ years of progressive HR or People Ops experience, ideally in a fast-growing, startup SaaS environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law
  • exposure to international employment practices is a plus.
  • Experience running and reviewing background checks
