About the role

We're a small team of engineers, designers, and operators based in San Francisco.
Our team comes from Tesla, Cruise, OpenAI, Google, Pixar, and many other great companies.
Our team is deliberately lean to promote rapid decision making and do away with bureaucracy and hierarchy.

Design and build end-to-end 3D perception systems for real-world robotic environments.
Collaborate closely with robotics, simulation, and platform teams to integrate 3D perception into the full stack.
You'll build the 3D perception systems that allow our robots to understand and navigate real-world environments.

Experience with PyTorch and CUDA, including custom operators, optimized data pipelines, or model acceleration.
Strong understanding of different sensor modalities (e.g., cameras, IMUs, wheel odometry, LiDAR, etc.), including their measurement models, calibration procedures, temporal synchronization, and noise characterization.
Deep domain expertise in at least two of the following areas:

3D VISION RESEARCHER / ENGINEER
This role is for someone who can design state-of-the-art 3D vision pipelines from the ground up, combine classical geometry with modern deep learning, and turn research ideas into production-quality systems.
Develop geometric vision pipelines-SLAM, reconstruction, tracking-and integrate them with learned models.
Implement and optimize deep learning models for depth, flow, correspondence, and 3D understanding.
Move quickly and independently to solve hard 3D vision and geometry problems.
