About the role
- Summary The Aircraft Inspector III is responsible for executing inspections of transport category aircraft and components in accordance with FAA Part 145 regulations.
- Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing.
- Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive" position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of widebody aircraft (e.g., Boeing 737, 757,777, 787, Airbus A320) and associated components.
- Support internal and external audits, including FAA, customer, and third-party quality assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the inspection team and quality processes.
- Support incoming preliminary inspections on aircraft/components in accordance with customer request cards or manufacturer's manuals.
- Accomplish incoming inspections and maintain oversight during aircraft storage and modifications.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally, with help, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a stooping, kneeling, or standing position and in cramped areas.
- Ensure documentation of maintenance is performed as required by FAR's, Repair Station Manual and Customer's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.
- Participate in audits & investigations - Support external audits, root-cause analysis, and accident/incident investigations as required.
