About the role
- The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach is seeking Lab Supervisor & Teaching Assistant who will support the Department's experiential learning activities including laboratory courses, student projects, and research projects.
Responsibilities
- General departmental support of activities and events.
- Hours may be non-traditional to support laboratory activities and may include evenings and occasional weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, relevant certifications such as A&P, and/or experience in relevant work.
- Experience with manufacturing techniques including welding, CNC machining, sheet metal, and hand fabrication techniques.
- Required Qualifications
- Skills with CAD and CAM software such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
- A desire to work with and teach undergraduate students.
- Experience with OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations.
