About the role

  • Engages with case teams to understand their objectives and workflows to ensure litigation applications are properly implemented for maximum leverage.
  • Works with internal Legal Technology and senior paralegals to define best practices and ensure they are followed.
  • Functions as the "go-to person" for solving data issues and questions encountered by the case team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct, hands-on support to first-time, case team users of the litigation tool project start-up.
  • Provides hands-on support for unique or urgent case team projects.
  • Provides advanced technical support and coordinate with vendors and internal development teams as necessary

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of legal practice workflows
  • Experience in importing and exporting data to and from database applications
  • Ability to manipulate data using Excel or text editors
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms
  • Knowledge of file transfer methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Specializes in litigation tools used for managing case documents, chronologies and transcripts

  • Advanced experience in broad range of industry litigation tools for deposition and exhibit management, chronology preparation, e-binder creation and document review such as CaseMap, TextMap, Everchron, Opus, Align, Kira, and Relativity
  • Demonstrates experience in the EDRM lifecycle, including document collection, processing, review, and production
  • Proficient in database administration tasks such as field creation, administering user roles and permissions, designing coding layouts
  • Proficient in term, keyword, index and concept searching techniques
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and learn customized proprietary software
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Compensation

  • The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details.
