About the role
- In this role, you will contribute to structural engineering projects from concept through construction while continuing to grow as a licensed professional.
- You will take on meaningful project responsibilities, strengthen your technical and leadership skills, and contribute to impactful work locally and nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of structural engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials
- Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports in accordance with applicable building codes
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful outcomes
- Support KPFF's mission of creating a perpetual organization built on happy people, happy clients, strong financial outcomes, and great engineering
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, RISA‑3D, or similar
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Master's preferred)
Compensation
- Impact Bonuses are distributed on a semi-annual basis and are consistent with role, impact and Reporting Center Performance.
