About the role

  • Neogen is looking for a Quality Manager - Laboratory Services that will provide leadership and first line management to the Quality and Performance Officers, to ensure an effective quality of services for the Laboratory Services department.
  • Actively listens to all team, peer and leadership while fostering collaboration. - Leading Others: Delegates tasks appropriately to enhance individual and team effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Managers to identify opportunities to develop capabilities, innovation, improve efficiencies, and reducing costs where applicable.
  • Participate and assist in the development of business cases, as appropriate, to support change around Quality Management Systems and their effective implementation.
  • Leading Others: Delegates tasks appropriately to enhance individual and team effectiveness. Leverages team members unique differences to drive performance and plan for the future.
  • Driving Performance: Drivers performance within team. Utilizes time and resources effectively. Creates accountability for Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), seeks innovative solutions and sets priority standards.
  • Organizational Strategy: Is the expert in their function and uses understanding of the organization to help drive performance.

Requirements

  • Participates in External Proficiency programs as appropriate.

Nice to have

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in physical science, chemistry, or related fields
  • Minimum 2 years work experience with laboratory setting.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a technical management role is preferred.
  • Prior experience of successfully implementing and managing a quality management system accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 or a similarly robust conformity assessment standard is desirable.
  • Experience in presenting scientific results to diverse audiences is preferred.
  • Experience in diagnostic kit validation is preferred.

Skills

  • The person must be able to read computer screens in English.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Power Point is also required.
