- Audit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers for consistency with contracted fee schedule and follow up with carriers as appropriate to resolve underpayments
- Conduct follow-up inquiries regarding missing insurance payments
- Correct and resubmit denied claims
- Process written appeals
- Track denial/payment trends
- Communicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issues
- Answer billing questions for patients and implement solutions to remedy issues
- Process patient credit card payments
- Data entry
- Verifying current personal and financial information
- Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
- Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
- Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned
- High school degree or equivalent
- Excellent in-person and phone customer service
- Proficient in Word or Excel
- Close attention to detail
- Great time management and organizational skills
- Be available for a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week
- Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
- Previous experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role is preferred but not required.
- Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
- The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
