About the role

  • Manager, Trading Integrations, this role will play an important part in delivering and evolving business-critical investment technology solutions across Investment Management, Investment Operations, and other key ISG portfolios.
  • The team works across areas including FX, Securities Lending, Repos, Collateral, Delta One, Public Equities, Fixed Income, Trading Operations, Trade Settlements, Treasury Operations, Securities Operations, Liquidity Risk, Compliance, and Risk.
  • The Senior Business Analyst will help ensure that HOOPP's trading integrations remain reliable, scalable, well-controlled, and aligned to the Fund's strategic investment priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis for high-impact trading integration initiatives, including requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, testing support, and delivery coordination.
  • Design and document high-quality business analysis artifacts, including business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, process flows, operating models, and integration requirements.
  • Support the delivery of integrations across HOOPP's core investment technology ecosystem, including Bloomberg AIM, FX Connect, ICE, OneTick, internal trading systems, data services, Trading Data APIs, FIX-based workflows, and other vendor connectivity platforms.
  • Manage vendor engagement for onboarding, enhancements, issue resolution, testing, implementation support, and roadmap alignment across trading and integration platforms.
  • Build trusted relationships with trading desks and enterprise stakeholders by communicating requirements, risks, decisions, timelines, and outcomes with clarity and confidence.
  • Demonstrated experience working with third-party vendors and integration teams, such as Bloomberg, ICE, or other financial technology providers, to deliver technical solutions within defined project timelines.
  • These tools support our recruitment process but do not replace human judgment and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle, including trade capture, execution, confirmation, settlement, collateral, accounting, reporting, and downstream operational processes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences
  • Experience supporting vendor and external system integrations, including the ability to understand interface requirements, data dependencies, exception handling, testing needs, and operational impacts.
  • Experience with SimCorp Dimension, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Bloomberg AIM, ICE, FX Connect, OneTick, FIX messaging, or investment data platforms is considered an asset.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo respectfully and constructively, contributing ideas that improve processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Comfort working in environments of ambiguity, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

  • The actual base salary offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
  • This role is eligible to participate in discretionary incentive plan(s), subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan text.
  • $103,000 - $153,000 CAD
