About the role

  • PURPOSE AND SCOPE To sell planned maintenance contracts along with professional service, quality parts and aftermarket products while obtaining/ maintaining maximum market share.
  • Setting appointments with decision-makers within industrial accounts is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a positive counselor-selling relationship by demonstrating the ability and willingness to solve and/or prevent customer equipment/maintenance problems.
  • Create awareness of company/products through consistent timely contact.
  • Provide new product sales representatives with leads relating to company products.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive activity, including any pricing policies in the District as they relate to planned maintenance, service, parts, and new products.
  • Responsible for all leads relating to Aftermarket Sales directed through District office.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Develop long-term professional relationships that allow for preference when additional products are required.
  • Requires a high degree of cold-calling via the telephone.
  • Professional "On-the-Dock" presentations, equipment demonstrations, and written proposals are required.
  • The ability to close orders is essential.

Nice to have

  • A two (2) year college degree (Business or Marketing preferred );
  • Two or more years related sales experience (Previous material handling or loading dock equipment sales experience is very beneficial ),
  • F lexibility to interact with dock workers up to board room presentation,
  • S trong mechanical/electronic comprehension,
  • E xcellent communication skills,
  • P rofessional customer-oriented attitude,
  • C onfidence and tact.
