About the role
- The Engineer II position is the intermediate level of the Engineering classification hierarchy.
- Employees in the Engineer II position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with general supervision.
- An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.
Responsibilities
- Design a power delivery plan and prepare construction prints for each project utilizing engineering skills and several design tools.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to facilitate timely and effective project delivery.
- Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.
Requirements
- Basic/Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer.
- A Master's degree in engineering can be considered in lieu of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree.
- Experience with CAD software, PoleForeman, and/or Maximo.
- The engineer will be required to field visit nearly every customer's construction site.
- Reliable, consistent transportation is required to ensure timely arrival at the applicable facility.
- Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program

- Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering degrees preferred.
