Responsibilities
- Support the Waste Treatment Completion Company Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment
- Support the resolution of corrective actions and assist in the investigation of radiological incidents
- Direct activities of assigned staff and plan and schedule allocation of resources in support of facility operations and maintenance
- Provide support for operational aspects of Radiological Control Program implementation to assure federal, state, and WTCC requirements regarding radiation exposure to site personnel and the general public are followed
- Provides direction, supervision, guidance, support, and oversight of bargaining unit personnel (Radiological Control Technicians).
Requirements
- Appropriate training and experience commensurate with the responsibilities of the position may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Degree in science or engineering may be substituted for two years of experience
- Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentum visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)
- Required Experience includes:
Nice to have
- Experienced in Radiation Protection Program implementation within the DOE complex
- Shift Operations in a DOE production facility or High Hazard facility, including working knowledge of Conduct of Operations.
- Certification: Active certification as RRPT preferred
Compensation
- $115,543.99 - $182,530.01

- Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.

- Possesses knowledge of health physics with expert knowledge of applied health physics/radiation protection principles and practices, standards and requirements
