  • This is an on-site position located at our headquarters, 4001 South 700 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84107.

Responsibilities

  • State and/or federal legislative requirements and/or college accreditation requirements may apply to maintain the necessary credentialing for this role.
  • Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
  • Responsible for supporting the strategy, design, development, and maintenance of formative and high-stakes assessments within an assigned portfolio.
  • This role collaborates with Assessment Strategists and leaders to ensure assessments meet the goals of the university and that assessment best practices have been followed.
  • This role works closely with Assessment Strategists and Senior Assessment Strategists to assist in assessment design, development, and continuous improvement efforts for online assessment content.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners throughout the design, development, and deployment of assessments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of assessment development practices
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and pay attention to detail.

  • Understands and supports the alignment of assessment traverse with proficiencies, skills and competencies in programs, courses, and non-degree offerings.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively and creatively solve problems related to assessment design and development
  • Practical understanding of teaching and learning, educational trends and research
  • Demonstrated skill in providing training as well as persuasively explaining assessment policy and best practices
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and drive improvement
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience developing educational or licensure assessments at the course or program level.
  • Experience with contemporary assessment practices and technology (e.g., adaptive assessment, competency-based assessment, psychometrics, technology-enhanced items, prototyping and validating new item types, test designs, etc.).

Compensation

  • $73,500.00 - $110,200.00
