About the role

Work Arrangement This is an onsite position.
Job Overview The Material Planning Manager is responsible for leading material planning activities to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery.
This role oversees demand planning alignment, material availability, and inventory optimization while driving continuous improvement across planning processes and systems.

Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree or professional certification (CPIM, CSCP, PMP) preferred
10+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
5+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
Experience with S&OP / IBP processes.
Experience managing materials in a complex, multi-product or program-based environment.

Translate production schedules and forecasts into accurate material requirements using MRP/ERP systems.
Identify and mitigate material constraints, shortages, and risks to production continuity.
Prepare and present material planning metrics, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
Analyze trends and root causes related to inventory performance and material shortages.
Perform other duties as required.
Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
