About the role
- Work Arrangement This is an onsite position.
- Job Overview The Material Planning Manager is responsible for leading material planning activities to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery.
- This role oversees demand planning alignment, material availability, and inventory optimization while driving continuous improvement across planning processes and systems.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

- Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree or professional certification (CPIM, CSCP, PMP) preferred
- 10+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- 5+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
- Experience with S&OP / IBP processes.
- Experience managing materials in a complex, multi-product or program-based environment.
Nice to have
- Translate production schedules and forecasts into accurate material requirements using MRP/ERP systems.
- Identify and mitigate material constraints, shortages, and risks to production continuity.
- Prepare and present material planning metrics, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
- Analyze trends and root causes related to inventory performance and material shortages.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
