About the role
- Wing is looking for a Global Sourcing Manager to join our Sourcing team.
- This role is onsite based in Palo Alto, CA.
- Your leadership both internally and with suppliers will ensure that aircraft and ground infrastructure can be built cost-effectively at scale, meet quality and compliance standards, and are delivered on time.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial engagement and sourcing strategy for parts and/or assembly of our aircraft and ground infrastructure
- Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams, our suppliers and our contract manufacturers to ensure quality and manufacturability of our assemblies
- Source and qualify new suppliers, conduct market research and technology analysis to support Wing's innovation roadmap
- Build a deep understanding of our technology, operations and mission to develop successful, long-term supplier relationships globally
- Build trust and scalable processes with all cross functional teams
- A natural ability to operate autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity and develop scalable solutions
- Ability and curiosity to quickly learn and dive deep into designs and underlying technology but keep a fast pace of operational execution
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing and managing global supplier relationships and bringing high-volume products from concept to mass production
- You are familiar with bottoms-up cost modeling and have knowledge of cost structures for various electromechanical commodities
- You have taken several products to market and can thoughtfully balance the requirements at different stages of the product development cycle (proto, EVT, DVT, PVT, MP)
- You are able to roll up your sleeves, solve tactical challenges fast and ensure daily supply meets demand, while keeping the bigger picture and strategy at the forefront

- $183,000 - $195,000 USD

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits.
