About the role
- The Revenue Recognition Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606.
- The ideal candidate brings expertise in complex revenue arrangements, strong analytical skills, and the ability to streamline and improve revenue processes in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
- Interpret and apply ASC 606 to complex, multi‑element arrangements, subscription models, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update revenue policies to reflect business changes, new products, and evolving accounting standards.
- Lead the revenue close process, including reviewing journal entries, deferred revenue analysis, and reconciliations
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement to shorten close timelines.
- Collaborate with FP&A to ensure accurate forecasting of revenue and deferred balances.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Pricing teams to assess revenue implications of new offerings.
- Own and execute key SOX controls related to revenue recognition.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, or audit (including 3 years of supervisory experience)
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and related technical accounting requirements.
- Experience with complex, global revenue arrangements.
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or multi‑product global companies.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, Cognos
