Responsibilities

  • 50%: Support the BESS/Microgrid sales team prior to Purchase Order (PO) with early-stage technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 0-1 years' experience working in an Engineering role
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Experience as a technical communicator or educator
  • Power or energy modeling experience
  • Project management experience.
  • Essential Duties:
  • Listen, understand, and convey customer project requirements
  • Review electrical one-line diagrams, sequence of operations, and other technical specifications for BESS and microgrid projects.
  • Recommend required design and functional changes needed to align with the product line and drive standardization.

Skills

  • Ability to interpret customer specifications;
  • Ability to analyze and answer technical questions;
  • Ability to analyze electrical diagrams and control schematics;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical symbols, characters, and modify;
  • Ability to apply product knowledge and technical skills to solve simple application problems with supervision;
  • Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Compensation

  • Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
  • The salary range for this role when based in Fort Collins, Colorado is $ 78,200.00 - $100,00.00 USD Annual.
  • This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled.
  • Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
  • This role is eligible for variable compensation including short- and long-term incentives.
