- Position Overview AMS Impact Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regional Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team.
- This role is responsible for supporting the financial integrity, compliance, and reporting accuracy of an assigned portfolio of AMS schools and organizational entities.
Responsibilities
- Support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes for assigned schools and entities.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring consistency and accuracy across financial records.
- Maintain organized and accurate supporting documentation for financial reporting and audit purposes.
- Assist with federal, state, and compliance reporting requirements, including Charter Board filings, IRS Form 990 support, and Single Audit submissions.
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Partner with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Grants, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial coding and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, fund accounting, and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse and cross-functional teams.
- This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Education
- Experience
- Experience in nonprofit, education, charter school, or multi-entity accounting environments preferred.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- CPA certification or active CPA track preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-level accounting systems required
- Workday ERP experience strongly preferred.

Compensation
- Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for annual independent financial audits.
- $65,000-$75,000.00 DOE
