Responsibilities

  • Support any plant upsets with direction from the Shift Activity Coordinator. This could include cutting, lifting, and/or moving foam by hand.
  • Interface with process control computers to optimize and troubleshoot equipment operations for the recycle system
  • Safely perform manual operations such as cutting foam during start-ups/jam-ups, manually stacking and grinding foam, and filling solids additive feeders
  • Perform on-shift minor maintenance, predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM), breakdown repair, and scheduled shutdown/turnaround activities

Requirements

  • Must be capable of performing simple math computations involving ratios and fractions with or without a calculator
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to work a rotating 12 hour schedule.
  • Must have a current, valid, US driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeve FRC (safety equipment will be provided by DuPont)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and possess full dexterity of the wrists, hands, shoulders, and arms.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and operate valves and similar equipment routinely.

Nice to have

  • 2-year Technical/Trade Degree in Process Technology, Mechanical or electrical field is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years professional work experience demonstrating adept process operations, mechanical or electrical aptitude is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required
