About the role

  • You will be the in-house technical authority on quality.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, document, and own Foundry Robotics' AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015 QMS, and lead the company through third-party certification
  • Own inspection plans, control plans, first article inspection, and quality records across assembly, test, and calibration operations
  • Own nonconformance and corrective action end to end. Lead containment, drive root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence

Requirements

  • 7+ years of quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Working expertise in AS9100D and/or ISO 9001:2015 is a prerequisite.
  • You have built or operated inside the standard and can write procedures that pass external audit
  • Strong GD&T fluency and the ability to read, interpret, and challenge engineering drawings
  • Experience with APQP / PPAP and IPC workmanship standards
  • Experience in robotics, aerospace, defense, or other hardware-rich regulated industry
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent programs in a contract manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an early-stage company where quality systems were built rather than inherited

  • The base salary range for this full-time position in the location of
  • $150,000 to $250,000 USD

  • The Role
  • This role is for a Senior Quality Engineer who can build a quality function from first principles and run it credibly in front of demanding customers. You will architect our AS9100D-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) from scratch, lead the company through third-party certification, and own the system as our scope expands across new customers and programs. You will be the in-house technical authority on quality.
  • Run the internal audit program, management review, and supplier quality, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the quality point of contact for customer audits and source inspections, and report quality performance to leadership and customers
  • Mentor inspectors, technicians, and junior quality staff as the team grows
