Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly safety checks and preventative maintenance on all ERS fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Build and prepare new ERS vehicles for service without impacting regular maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain detailed work orders, including accurate parts and inventory tracking.
  • Maintain proper care and control of BCAA equipment, tools, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Managers and team members to deliver an outstanding experience.
  • Mentor apprentices and lube technicians to support accuracy, safety, and skill development.
  • This team maintains more than 125 fleet and management vehicles and is equipped to perform all levels of automotive repair.

Requirements

  • You have a genuine interest in automotive repair, technology, and keeping vehicles operating at their best.
  • You enjoy diagnosing issues, thinking critically, and finding effective solutions-whether routine or complex.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Journeyperson Technician and 5 years of related mechanical experience
  • Experience with automotive DMS systems, modern scan tools, and MS Office (Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to safely lift a minimum of 70 lbs
  • Automotive Red Seal Certification with up-to-date training in modern automotive technologies
  • Demonstrated skills in welding and metal fabrication
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
  • Additional industry certifications are considered an asset
  • The salary range for this position is $ 84,783.36 [43.48/hr] to $ 94,203.84 [48.31/hr] [straight-rate] and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a 9% target performance bonus paid quarterly and annually, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%, along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package including 3 weeks' vacation plus wellness and cultural days (PTO prorated based on start date), 6% RRSP matching, Defined Contribution Pension, a $300 Wellness Account (prorated), and a BCAA membership.

Nice to have

  • Preferred experience with diesel injection/fuel systems, 1ton to 5ton chassis, and alternative fuel vehicles

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $ 84,783.36 [43.48/hr] to $ 94,203.84 [48.31/hr] [straight-rate] and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
