About the role

AWP Safety is on the lookout for motivated individuals to embark on a rewarding career as a Traffic Control Technician.
Controls movement of vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic through work zones using hand signals with a STOP/SLOW Paddle.
Reviews, comprehends, and executes temporary traffic control plans and/or standards to ensure work zones are properly installed and maintained.

Set up, maintain, and remove Advance Warning Signs, Channelizing Devices, and other traffic control devices according to Federal, State, and/or Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and Temporary Traffic Control Plans for simple and intermediate complexity work zones.
Maintain a Flagger Station by standing and controlling road users through the use of hand signals with a STOP/SLOW Paddle.
Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment, trailers, and team members to and from work sites safely and in a timely manner. May also pull lightweight trailered equipment.
Rapid Advancement: Potential opportunities to progress to Lead Protector, and with further growth potential to Field Supervisor, or Manager roles.

Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required.

Employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
Achieve organizational required training within timeframe established by.
High School Diploma or GED completion required.

Prior experience preferred in temporary traffic control services, utility industry, or construction industry preferred.

Hourly pay range $20.00- $25.00, based on experience, guaranteed pay increase within the first year.
Competitive Pay: Hourly pay range $20.00- $25.00, based on experience, guaranteed pay increase within the first year.
