About the role
- Assist Commercial Managers with compliance and continuous monitoring of the bid approval process for government contracts.
- Act as the primary liaison with DCAA, DCMA, and other Governmental officials in supporting audits and negotiations.
- Oversee all aspects of the financials for the entity.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain business systems and accounting practices that meet Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) guidelines.
- Support ad hoc commercial teams in all government accounting and contract compliance aspects of the Land and Marine reporting segments.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end accounting practices for the entity.
- Fugro is launching a Defense and U.S. government contracting business and is seeking a Financial Controller to build and manage compliant, audit‑ready financial operations.
Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Have at least ten (10) years' experience in financial controllership, accounting, or finance roles, including significant experience supporting defense or government contracting environments.
- Works with all levels of management within the Company and maintains a wide range of contacts outside the Company using a high degree of tact and judgment.
- Other related duties as required.
Nice to have
- Experience working with the DCAA and DCMA.
- FOCI mitigation exposure is a plus.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
Compensation
- The salary range for this role is 136,800 - 218,900 USD annually.
- Lead the preparation of the government-required submissions, including CASB Disclosure Statements, annual Incurred Cost Submissions, development of overhead and G&A rates, and cost impact analysis when applicable.
- Participates in Annual Audits and readiness for both government entities and Fugro external audits.
