- We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to serve as the technical leader for this team - someone who can architect end-to-end systems across mobile and backend, tackle complex scaling challenges, and raise the bar on engineering quality.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead architectural discussions for TrueMotion-driven experiences, proactively identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions to complex mobile and full-stack engineering problems.
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement through thoughtful code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- You communicate effectively across engineering, product, design, and data science teams to align on shared goals.

- Deliver your first end-to-end feature while auditing the current architecture for scaling and performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- At minimum, 4 + years of professional software engineering experience
- At minimum, a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with backend technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, or GraphQL
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools to accelerate development workflows, improve code quality, and streamline debugging
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping mobile applications
Nice to have
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping mobile applications using React Native
- Experience with event-driven architectures and tools such as Apache Kafka
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog and Sentry
- Strong understanding of system design principles, mobile application architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated track record of mentoring engineers and leading architectural discussions across teams
- Proficiency in both English and French is an asset
- The platform addresses a broad spectrum of MSK care - from acute injury, to chronic pain, to post-surgical rehabilitation - through personalized, evidence-based care.
- The company is headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in Montreal and Bangalore.
