About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Construction Estimator to join our preconstruction team and work on some of the most exciting projects in Tampa Bay.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare, or other electrical construction projects.
  • Solicit, analyze, and level pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

  • The Senior Electrical Construction Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive estimates for electrical construction projects from conceptual design through final bid submission.
  • Develop value-engineering options and alternative approaches to improve project competitiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare estimates at various stages of design, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
  • Support post-bid reviews and turnover meetings with project management and operations teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction materials, labor productivity, installation methods, and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Nice to have

  • Experience with estimating software such as Accubid Anywhere and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with digital takeoff tools.
  • Experience with Design-Assist.
  • Experience estimating projects with contract values of $40 million or more.
  • Electrical contractor or field installation experience.
  • Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to attend construction sites, project meetings, and pre-bid site walks as required.
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites while following all applicable safety requirements.
