About the role

Under supervision of appropriate licensed healthcare professional as defined by State regulations, prepares and mixes medications.
Coordinates with drug sales representatives, and pharmaceutical companies to obtain samples, teaching aids, and compassionate drugs.
Acts as liaison between Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Supervisor and Purchasing in obtaining special order medications.

Collaborate with nurses, physicians, supervisors, and pharmaceutical representatives as needed to support patient care and operational needs.
Maintains the ordering and stocking of medications and supplies as needed in the clinic.

Following applicable state regulations, PTCB Certification or Registered as Pharmacy Technician is required.
Valid State Drivers License for travel to clinics is required.
Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate medication dispensing and par-level management.
Maintain required records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, biohazard waste, and related pharmacy processes.
Minimum of three years' experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
Must be willing to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings as well as training sessions.

Perform daily and annual maintenance of chemotherapy hoods and manage ambulatory pump documentation.

Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications, ensuring appropriate inventory levels and minimal waste.
