About the role

This is a fully remote position and may be performed from anywhere within the United States.
Technical Tax Leadership Review complex tax returns and tax research projects across multiple entity types.
Provide technical guidance to Tax Managers, Senior Associates, and Staff.

In this leadership role, you will oversee complex tax engagements, provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, mentor team members, and partner with firm leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences.
This position is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys solving complex tax issues, developing talent, building trusted client relationships, and contributing to the growth and success of a high-performing tax practice.
Maintain strong relationships with key client contacts and support complex client engagements.
Identify opportunities to deliver additional value through tax planning and cross-functional firm services.
Collaborate with firm leaders to ensure exceptional client service and engagement success.
Develop and oversee implementation of tax planning strategies.
Team Leadership & Development Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals at various levels.
Support training and professional development initiatives across the Tax practice.
Support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service quality.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Active CPA or EA license 7+ years of public accounting tax experience.
Strong technical expertise in: Partnership taxation S Corporation taxation C Corporation taxation Individual taxation Multi-state taxation Experience reviewing complex tax returns and technical tax research projects.

Master's in Taxation (MST), LL.M. in Taxation, or other advanced tax credential.
Experience serving clients in Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), professional services, manufacturing, or closely held businesses.
Experience leading process improvement or practice scalability initiatives.
Partnership taxation S Corporation taxation C Corporation taxation Individual taxation Multi-state taxation Experience reviewing complex tax returns and technical tax research projects.
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong client service mindset with a consultative approach.
Exposure to specialty tax areas such as:
State and Local Tax (SALT) M&A Transactions Accounting Methods Credits & Incentives Experience with tax technology platforms such as CCH Axcess, GoSystem, ProSystem fx, Checkpoint, or BNA.

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience.
A final compensation offer will be based on factors including an individual's skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
