About the role
- Fleet Services provides strategic leadership, management, and governance for all transportation and mobile equipment in the Duke Energy fleet which consists of over 14 thousand vehicles/mobile equipment.
- The Supervisor of Vehicle Maintenance provides leadership and oversight to a diverse workforce for assigned maintenance locations (garages).
- Safety, environmental compliance, productivity and quality are all critical components of the successful execution of this work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of Duke Energy safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage garage expenditures to support overall budget and incentive goals.
- Support storm restoration efforts including any off-system deployments
- Maintain positive employee relations and culture based on trust, open communication, personal accountability, ownership, teamwork and collaboration.
- Develop a culture of two-way communication, encouraging employee feedback.
- Recruit and develop technicians. Manage employee development including technical, compliance and on-the-job training
- Maintain a working knowledge of bargaining unit contracts
- Support human performance and corrective action programs by investigating, reviewing and communicating events, leading and participating in investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain positive customer relations by ensuring timely resolution of issues and concerns. Effectively elevates and communicates issues and concerns to appropriate Fleet GO staff teams.

- $25k-$50k
