About the role

  • The Global Operation Technology (Global Ops Tech) is responsible for the system that enable Coupang to reliably fulfill customer orders in Fulfillment Centers within hours of order placement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional projects involving Inventory and Promise.
  • The desired candidate will help lead Global Ops Tech Picking team build systems that drive the overall process and workflow of Coupang's fulfillment systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including Java.
  • 8+ years of experience leading large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of backend scalable software architecture, distributed systems, and message-oriented architecture.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the eCommerce domain involved in supply chain systems around Inventory and Promise..
  • Experience with AWS
  • Java language would be a plus.
  • Experience with high-scale production systems with fault-tolerance and monitoring.
  • Operationalizing software in a large-scale environment with high availability requirements
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets.
  • The base pay for this position ranges from $164,00/year to $282,000/year.
