About the role
- Powerhouse Arts (PHA) is a not-for-profit organization committed to creative expression.
- This role will be responsible for executing ceramics fabrication projects and participating in shop organization and maintenance as needed.
- Qualified candidates will be contacted for virtual interviews.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
- Serve as project lead on select projects, from early concept through final delivery
- Manage a team of three fabricators and hold regular one-on-one check-ins to support growth and alignment
- Lead daily check-ins with the fabrication team to review priorities, deadlines, and task distribution
- Develop and implement workflows that support clarity, efficiency, and creative problem-solving
- Implement quality standards to ensure all deliverables meet studio expectations
- Maintain a project management calendar to keep all phases on track
- Manage studio materials and inventory, including ordering equipment and supplies as needed
- Maintain adherence to studio safety practices and regulations
- Collaborate with staff, shops, and departments across the studio to support shared projects and workflows
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with file management systems
- Flexibility on evenings and weekends for events and classes is required.
- Strong ceramic fabrication skills across a range of techniques
- Basic 3D rendering abilities
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
- Flexible, creative, and resourceful approach to work
- Fluency in G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Box, and related platforms
- Passionate about the arts and Powerhouse's mission
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $70,000-77,000 annually.
