About the role
- Our Client is seeking to hire an experienced and accomplished Senior Associate - Insurance Defense Litigation to join their New York litigation practice.
- Accurately track billable hours and ensure proper invoicing.
- Serve as a mentor for junior attorneys and paralegals.
Responsibilities
- Lead case strategy and handle files independently including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other court filings with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and claims professionals.
- The Senior Associate will handle complex matters, mentor junior associates, and collaborate closely with partners on cases ranging from motor vehicle accidents, to slip and fall, premises liability, professional negligence, and others.
Requirements
- Must be currently barred in New York.
- A minimum of five to eight years of experience in litigation, must include insurance defense.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume caseloads with autonomy.
- Experience conducting training or supervising junior attorneys.
