About the role

This position is responsible for leading the inventory and cost accounting function, ensuring accurate valuation of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods across recycling and energy operations.
This role is primarily performed in an office environment.

Responsibilities

Own the month-end and quarter-end close for inventory and cost of goods sold, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
Drive process and systems improvement - own inventory transaction discipline (receipts, consumption, scrap, adjustments), and report performance to business leadership.
Partner with Operations, and FP&A to develop cost models and support product margin, and production analyses
Maintain and strengthen internal controls over inventory and costing processes and support external audit requests
Lead, coach, and develop a team of cost accountants and analysts, and drive process and ERP system improvements within the function
Ability to analyze information, interpret data, and support decision-making and problem-solving
Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Experience with ERP and costing systems (e.g., D365, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, including work with large data sets
