About the role

  • This position is responsible for leading the inventory and cost accounting function, ensuring accurate valuation of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods across recycling and energy operations.
  • This role is primarily performed in an office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end and quarter-end close for inventory and cost of goods sold, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
  • Drive process and systems improvement - own inventory transaction discipline (receipts, consumption, scrap, adjustments), and report performance to business leadership.
  • Partner with Operations, and FP&A to develop cost models and support product margin, and production analyses
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over inventory and costing processes and support external audit requests
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of cost accountants and analysts, and drive process and ERP system improvements within the function
  • Ability to analyze information, interpret data, and support decision-making and problem-solving
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Experience with ERP and costing systems (e.g., D365, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, including work with large data sets
